Yang was trembling - how long had it been since he’d truly worried this much about what someone would do or say? His heart was in shambles, but he had to think that maybe, it was in the best way possible. The ever-present grin had faded into a worried pout. He had a tendency to obsess over his appearance, especially when it came to such important things as this. Meeting with none other than Amy was a huge deal. Or, at least, to Yang, it was. He drew in a deep breath, forcing himself away from the mirror to fix his attention on his car keys. The car keys that would take him across town to a coffee shop that he’d agreed to meet Amy at. It seemed so cliche - a coffee shop, of all places. But at the same time, it seemed very them. Both had lived a life in the fast lane, and every now and then, quietness was a good thing. He just hoped that he’d managed to catch her at a time that she wasn’t busy. He wanted to savour his time with her, rather than rush through it.
His car took him to the coffee shop much quicker than he’d anticipated. He wasn’t sure that he was quite ready. But at the same time, he had never been more ready in his life. He wasn’t entirely convinced that he wouldn’t toss himself at the woman and hug her so hard that she couldn’t breathe for a week. She had been his better half for such a long time, and for a ghost from his past such as her to come back… he was getting whiplash from the feelings. He was nervous yet excited. He shook out his shoulders as he pushed open the door to the coffee shop. And immediately, he was bombarded with questions, by himself. Should he have brought a gift? Should he buy her coffee before she got here? Was she already here? He didn’t have the courage to look around. “Fuck, Amy,” he muttered under his breath with a nervous laugh. He leaned against the wall beside the door, pulling out his cell phone. He slid two fingers into one of the numerous holes in his jeans, the other tapping out a quick message to the girl. How embarrassing this would be if she were already here.
[ SMS : Not Cute Amy ] YOU BETTER NOT BE STANDING ME UP LIL BRAT :<
A small yawn emitted from the reader’s lips, covering her mouth with her lips as she did, while she sat alone on a bench near the coffee shop they had agreed to meet. Again another sleepless night but this time she had been more busy with course load in school other than the her work load or maybe it was her body’s reaction to what she got planned for the day. Huddling her shoulder together as she found warmth in the thick knitted fabric of her cardigan as the seasons was slowly changing. Over the course of time not only the season change but also people do, she was no exception. If she looked back at her young self versus to who she is now, there would be a huge gap of differences. Life style, perspective, the way she thinks down to what her morning routine is. Having to live in the fast lane in such a young age making connection to people was a challenge, even for the people in her circle. But some how, as if the gods were smiling down at her and the strange boy she had met back in L.A. Slowly the boy had made an impact to her childhood whether it was planned or not. Up till to this day the reader never regret saying hi to the lonely boy in the lobby that day. A small smile creases her lips upon recapping the moment, as her childhood was unorthodox she wouldn’t change one thing about it.
A small breeze greeted her and finally convincing the reader that it was time for her to treat herself to something sweet and warm. The coffee shop wasnt particularly far from where she was sitting, she actually just took public transportation since she was in no shape to be operating heavy machinery. At these times her best friend was make-up, perfectly covering her dark, puffy eyes up. The oversize knitted cardigan hung loosely on her shoulder covering up the simple another loose fitting white tank top which she paired up with black jeans and brown booties. “Ahh I might be under dress for him.." she thought as she strolled down the quite street, he is a CEO of a clothing line. She never really bother of her clothing ever since she settled in Korea, her closet was mostly consist of simple, basic clothing. Her style was minimalist, almost the complete opposite of the male’s clothing line. "Simple is better” she remembered telling every stylist that ever dressed her for any event growing up. The distance between the little shop and where she sat was less than a block, short stroll. As soon as she was only a few feet from the entrance of her destination, the phone sitting in her back pocket chimed, quickly taking it out and read the message quickly before looking up only to see her company was already there for her. The reader cant help but let a small, bright, smile grow on her lips. Out of her childish tactics she sent out a reply but and waited for him to read it first before opening the door and quickly linking her arm around the male’s

Prologue: [ Main verse ]
Growing up the girl, who always had a book in hand, never felt she belonged in her parents' world. The lifestyle she grew up with, her parents' lifestyle, are what most people aim for in life; the shiny cars and expensive clothes all of it and more was given to her in a silver platter. Her parents gave what ever her heart desired and more but it she had always preferred the simple things in life. She appreciated when the soft sound of raindrops on the ledge of her window helped her sleep more than the grand canopy she had in her room where she slept; she favored the smell of old book pages or the scent of a newly opened book more that Channel no.5; she preferred her dirt stain feet more that the designer shoes she was often forced to wear.
But alas like what her grandmother used to tell eveybody; "She's like the wind, you can never really tie her down in one place; she was meant to be free." As soon as she had enough, enough with the fake smiles, the fake relationship, the lies and ended up hurting more than what was obvious. Moving back to Korea to find her own independence and writing her own story.
