When Jongup heard a very familiar voice reach his ears, he instantly jerked out of his thoughts, head snapping up to find where it was coming from. It eventually lead him to a figure that was now sitting in front of him, a smiled glued to the woman’s face that looked so kind and welcoming but it only made the younger scowl.
"And where exactly have you been?"
He hissed, running a hand through his hair and completely ignoring the information just given to him. Not like he didn’t know all that already, he was just thinking maybe they had some weird werewolf acting out against the lunar cycle or maybe a vampire who doesn’t like wasting their food. Either way, those things would be easier to explain than trying to explain why exactly his sister left him when she was the one so set on dragging him back into this in the first place.
"I’ve been here trying to work this case for the past 3 hours and you leave me hanging by myself—"
❝ Hey you have your own stuff to deal with– I have mine❞
The smile never left her lips as the younger male scowled at her. It had been almost 2 years now since the siblings went on a hunt together or just be together for that fact. The events that followed after his arrival was something not expected but still blamed herself for she should have known better. Shaking out of her thoughts and quickly adding the rest of her sentence.
❝ No but there was a case over at the next town just a few miles over– dont worry I handled it. ❞
The hunter shrugged her shoulder in a nonchalant way as she leaned against the chair, calling a waitress so she can order a cup of coffee to wake herself up enough to help him with the case in hand. The younger has been gone for quite some time now and it was clear he was out of practice.
